Joe Cronin (no, not the Hall of Fame shortstop) is a Video Producer & cameraman for MLB.com. Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey with a love of baseball history, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1987 where he developed an affinity for computers and electronics. After leaving the Air Force, he attended Auburn University before getting his start in television production with NBA Entertainment. While at NBAE, Joe became the first video editor for NBA.com when that website launched in the mid 90s. He joined MLB Advanced Media in December 2000, where he also became the first video editor for MLB.com. Joe currently lives in Northeast Ohio with his wife Linda and two children (Caitlin & Joey), whom he sees on the rare occasions he’s not on the road shooting and producing video for MLB or MiLB.com.
